The bathroom wasn’t working for their own families living in this five-bedroom Edwardian semi in Hove, near Brighton.’ With the over-bath shower, we always pointed up with ocean all over the flooring ,’ says the owner.’ We necessary a separate shower, but I couldn’t work out how to fit one in. I too didn’t want any pipework to be visible, even if it meant reconfiguring the plumbing.’

The owner observed The Brighton Bathroom Company online and liked its gallery of projects.’ The company’s decorator called and rapidly tuned in to what I demanded ,’ she shows.’ She sourced the beautiful ball-and-claw-foot bathroom, which was our starting point, for a good price.’

Avril swapped an over-bath shower for a roll-top tub and a walk-in shower outlook where the valley and towel railing used to be.’ The brand-new scheme has spawned the room feel twice the sizing ,’ she says.

‘I craved the apartment to be modern, but it had to relate to the house’s Edwardian reference ,’ says the owner. Her reverie roll-top tub is integral to the scheme.
